සුවඳ — the Sinhala word for fragrance, but also for the kind of scent that pulls a memory whole out of the dark. This candle is poured from the spices and resins that have filled Sri Lankan homes for generations: warm cinnamon, sun-dried ginger, and the faint smoke of dummala. Light it when you need to remember where you come from.

— how to burn it safely —

Getting the most from your candle

·Trim the wick to 1/4" before every burn.
·Let the first burn reach a full, even melt pool across the top — this prevents tunnelling on every burn after.
·Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
·Keep away from drafts, children, pets, and anything flammable.
·Stop burning once about 1/2" of wax remains at the base.
·Let the candle cool completely before relighting or moving it.
